Overview
Google Enterprise is committed to providing quality training programs for our Google Search Appliance customers to successfully configure, deploy, and support the Google Search Appliance. This document reviews the Deployment Training program designed for our customers who are deploying the Google Search Appliance.

Learning Path The following learning path is recommended for Google Search Appliance Deployment Specialists.

1.  Online tutorials
  • What: live and recorded modules on new releases, crawling, serving, feeds, security, and connectors
  • Level: beginner - advanced

2.  GSA 101 - Quick Start class
  • What: Our 2-day, introductory class on appliance fundamentals and configuration covering crawling and serving web servers and file systems, feeds, some security, building your own apps and stylesheets, and SharePoint
  • Level: beginner

3.  GSA 102 - Intermediate class
  • What: Our 2-day, intermediate class as a follow-on to GSA 101 covering OneBox Modules, people search, databases, SharePoint, multiple connectors, Kerberos/cookie/SAML security, mirroring, and troubleshooting
  • Level: intermediate (3+ months)

    GSA 200 - Advanced class
  • What: Our 2-day, advanced class for searching large and distributed repositories, integrating multiple connectors or security methods, and developing custom connectors or SAML providers.
