Overview
Google Enterprise is committed to providing quality training programs for our Google Search Appliance partners to successfully configure, deploy, and support the Google Search Appliance. This document reviews the Deployment Training program designed for our Partners who are deploying the Google Search Appliance. Our programming consists of a variety of modes: instructor led, self-study and webinars.

    Note This program is designed for our Authorized Google Search Appliance Partners. If you are a customer, please view the Customer Training program.

Training for your Role The following learning path is recommended for:
For the Search Project Manager we recommend the following program:
  • GSA 100 recommended but not required
  • GSA 300 required

Learning Paths




Program Details

1.  Online tutorials
2.  GSA 100 - Fundamentals class
  • What: Our 4-day introductory class on appliance fundamentals and configuration covers crawling and serving web servers and file systems, feeds, security, building your own apps and stylesheets, SharePoint, OneBox Modules, people search, databases, Kerberos/cookie/SAML security, mirroring, and troubleshooting
  • Level: beginner
  • Cost: varies

3.  Gain 3-6 months deployment experience
  • Google expects partners to mentor new team members on their first few projects
  • Attend update webinars
4.  GSA 200 - Advanced class
  • What: Our 3-day, invitation-only advanced class for searching large and distributed repositories, integrating multiple connectors and security methods, and developing custom connectors and SAML providers.
  • Level: intermediate to advanced (3+ months)
  • Cost: Free - Invitation Only
  • Details and schedule: GSA 200
5.  GSA 300 - Deployment Workshop
  • What: Our 3-day, invitation-only advanced class for planning and scoping larger, more complex deals involving multiple connectors, security systems, and appliances.
  • Level: Advanced (2+ years)
  • Cost: Free - Invitation Only

6.  GSA Release Updates
  • What: For every we present a webinar series based upon the feature updates.  The first webinar in the series is a general overview.  The second webinar is the deeper technical overview.
  • Level: ALL
